The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adapted by world leaders in September 2015 at an historic UN summit. It aims to go further to end all forms of poverty and calls for action by all countries, poor, rich and middle-income to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. The problem and its causeThis graph on the right is from my Environmental Engineering Principles lecture notes. It's clear that almost all people in Japan have access to clean water while that is not the case for other countries. As a Japanese, it made me realize once again that how I should be grateful for what I have and made me feel responsible for taking actions to help other countries to improve their situations.
