About the project

"My way to Ghana with Saha Global for empowering women, providing clean water, teaching entrepreneurship and making smiles!"
To this date, still 40 % of populations in Northern Region Ghana do not have an access to clean water. Those people are currently drinking fecally contaminated water.
With this Saha project, I will train woman from communities to use alum to reduce turbidity and chloride as a biocide to treat the water they collect. I'll be supporting and working together with those women entrepreneurs to set up a water purification system so that eventually, they will sell the water for a nominal fee to their friends and neighbors. There will be other additional activities including teaching an importance of having clean water at school. I will be educating not only the women but also the communities. About Saha Global

Because we care Sustainability, our system is very simple. We will not dig a well or put a pipe. People in Northern region Ghana usually have an access to water. However, the problem is that that water is contaminated.
The cleaning process ・Collect water from their source ・Treat them with alum for coagulation ・Use chlorine to get rid of pathogens The business perspective ・Safe storage container for each household will be given by us ・People take their container to a water treatment center ・Pay a nominal fee in exchange of the water |
Why am I doing this?
My dream is to become a global leader and make the world a better environmentally-friendly place for sustainable development while supporting individuals and society. I want to make changes and smiles for the future, and I have been looking for an opportunity to step towards it. Saha Global Leadership program will be a great opportunity to take a part in solving some of the world’s greatest problems. I will be trained to become a Saha Field Representative. Once I will arrive in Ghana with other representatives, we will first educate communities by introducing the business concept and its particular health, social and economic benefits. Then we will train local women to become entrepreneurs for launching a clean water business. What Saha Global stands out from other organizations is that they really focus on people and communities. Of course, it will not be easy; the project will require a lot of leaning and understanding. I am ready to open my mind and face new challenges! I hope this project can really make a difference for communities in Ghana, and I hope sharing what I learn from my experience will help people understand what's happening in Ghana .
